Her body ached in coldness. She wrapped her arms around herself in attempt to keep herself warm.

This was awful, she thought. She couldn't stop thinking about so many thoughts at the same time. She couldn't help but wonder what her sentence was going to be. She certainly hoped it would be a lifelong sentence to jail, because if that were her sentence, then she was almost sure she'd be rescued somehow, or escape someway.

Her eyes were teary, and her lips were quivering. She was hunched down in one of the corners of the empty, dirty cell. She looked beyond the bars of the cell and listened to the arguments of other prisoners. She wanted to cry. Cry as hard as she could possibly cry. But she didn't want to disturb the others, and there were no pillows or anything she could cover her face with to muffle her cries. So she just sat quietly in the corner.

What was she supposed to do now? The only thing that was really bothering her was the fact that she didn't know who spoke of her former past as a summoner. Why would they? Didn't everyone in Spira that knew her, love her also? "But Lulu said..." Yuna whispered to herself, closing her eyes and letting a few silent tears slip between her eyelids.

She hadn't moved from the corner ever since she had arrived hours ago. It was nighttime and so terribly dark in the cell and the corridor outside. Yuna's heart thumped wildly. She hated being alone in the dark... especially in an unfamiliar place.

It was all so wretched. The cell smelled of dry blood. Yuna didn't want to think why it smelled that way, but she predicted that the smell was from the former fights that had taken place here, if any had. Other possibilities were cleared from her mind.

Yuna felt her feet fall asleep. They had once before, but the tingling wasn't as bad as it was now. Yuna stretched a bit, and lifted herself to her feet. She supported herself with her hands against the wall. She could feel the dirt and crud upon the walls, and she felt a sudden nausea rise in her stomach. She quickly took her hands from the wall and balanced herself on her own.

She yawned, and approached the bars that separated her from freedom.

Wrapping her slender fingers around the cold steel, she breathed in deeply. The nausea in her stomach seemed to grow and she tried to keep from puking from disgust. She leaned her head between two bars, and sighed. A few silent tears slid down her cheeks. Normally, she would of jumped back and shuddered from how cold the bars were, but her body temperature felt--to her--just as cold as the bars did.

Just then, she heard footsteps on the corridor floor.

Her eyelids slowly parted, slightly twitching from the fear of what she might see.

It was a soldier.

Yuna stepped back from the bars and sighed in disappointment. Deep down, maybe she was hoping for something better...

Then she noticed that the soldier stopped in front of her cell. "Oh no... my sentence..." Yuna whispered to herself, putting her hands over her mouth, slightly shaking her head from side to side.

Her friends... Lulu, Wakka, Rikku and Kimahri... they were all handcuffed in the soldier's hands! "Please, no!" Yuna cried, running up to the gate. She was going to say anything to let her friends be free again. "Please! Don't take them! Do anything you want with me, but please don't take them!" Yuna cried out.

Silently, the soldier took a key from his pocket and unlocked her cell. He reached in the cell and forcefully pulled her out by her arm and cuffed her too. Yuna was confused. Did they all have their sentences ready already?!

"Please! Where are you taking us? Can I at least know?!" Yuna asked. The soldier remained silent as he relocked the cell and forcefully walked her and her friends back down the corridor.

Yuna looked at her friends. They all looked so miserable. "I'm so sorry!" Yuna apologized. "I -will- get you out of this, I promise!" Yuna said, looking sympathetically at her considered family. None of them replied.

Another puzzling thing about this event was that there was only one soldier taking these five people somewhere...

~

Outside?!

Finally, in a deep, slightly familiar voice, the soldier spoke. "It's time for some fresh air!" It almost sounded as if he were trying to suppress a chuckle, or laughter.

They were in the dead of night. There were few prisoners in the little "playground" Maester Widel had set up within the prison walls. "In the middle of the night?!" Yuna was surprised at her words, and she got hit on the back for it.

But surprisingly, it didn't hurt at all. It was almost a gentle hit.

The soldier walked everyone past the "playground" entry gate and to the front gate of the prison. The exit gate.

"Huh?" Yuna whispered to herself.

"Open the gates!" The soldier yelled to the gate openers. They did as they were commanded, and the gates slowly parted.

"You, stop!!" Five soldiers emerged from the prison building. "What?!" Yuna whispered. What was going on? Soldiers against soldiers? Yuna felt a hard tug on her arm and she looked forward, moving her feet as quickly as she could. The soldier ran through the partially opened gate that was now closing and just -barely- made it through.

The soldier continued to run and he let everyone go except for Yuna. Yuna was confused, but kept running. She decided she would just follow him. "What's going on?" She asked herself in her mind.

Yuna glanced behind her at the prison gates and saw the gates reopening. Already, three soldiers were out running after them at full speed with their guns in their hands and all. It pained Yuna to hear so many combat boots hitting the once quiet, cobblestone street. She felt so scared and all she could do was grasp onto this -soldier's- hand for possible safety.

~

Running, running, running... They'd ran for at least a half an hour, Yuna had thought. They'd been shot at numerous times, but no one had gotten hit, luckily.

More and more soldiers had been following them, but right now, none were in sight.

Everyone had gotten split up, except Yuna was -still- with this mysterious soldier...

They were now alone in a tiny crevice they could both barely fit into, between two tall buildings.

Yuna's breaths were quiet, but terribly frantic. She was so scared and out of breath. She wanted to just break down and cry but she knew she couldn't. At least not yet.

They were still being chased, and as long as Yuna had a chance of freedom, she wasn't going to ruin it for herself.

To some extent, she just wanted to kneel in front of this stranger next to her and plead. Plead until he would let her go on her own, without this man beside her.

Her breathing slowed and she slightly coughed, covering her mouth while doing so.

She turned her head to the soldier. Listening for any sound of footsteps nearing, she began to speak. "Why...?" The soldier turned his head to her. She could only see the blueness of his eyes.

What?

She couldn't tell if he was smiling or frowning, or what. "Who are you?" Yuna asked.

He wanted to tell her. He was tempted to tell her, but couldn't. It was too dangerous.

He looked at her eyes for as long as he could. He began to analyze every curve on her gorgeous body, but quickly blinked himself out of it. Yuna was in trouble, not to mention him too! He didn't hear anyone following them, so he grabbed her hand and began to run again. His destination: the hotel.

~

Her feet hit hard against the carpet they treaded, and sweat beads were glistening on every inch of her body. She felt like falling over from exhaustion. But she knew she couldn't do that. Especially not now, with this stranger next to her...

So she kept running.

Up ahead, were her most trusted companions... standing in front of Yuna's hotel room, laughing and talking?! This was definitely not a cheerful time! Didn't they see her?! Didn't they understand that she was in the hand of the most spontaneous soldier out there?! Something was up, and Yuna wanted to find out fast!

She yanked her fragile, pale hand from the "soldier's" hand, and stopped him in his tracks. He immediately stopped running and just looked at her. "Who are you?! I demand to know! Tell me now!" Yuna yelled, quickly regretting the volume of her voice. She didn't want to wake the residents of the hotel.

The man in front of her seemed silent. He didn't move. He only breathed.

Yuna, getting uncomfortable, turned her head to look at the other's reactions to her actions.

They were smiling! Wakka was putting his thumbs up, Kimahri was standing with his arms crossed as he usually did... Rikku was waving and nodding, jumping up and down like her giddy little self. Lulu was nodding and Yuna could tell she was also smiling.

Yuna turned her head to look up at this so called "soldier" and squinted hard.

Who was he? It was apparent that her friends knew him all too well.

Without so much a moment's hesitation he approached her and put his hands on each of her soldiers. "What are you...?" But before she could finish she was interrupted by a forceful, but gentle still, kiss...

Yuna's eyes widened and she was about to push this whacko off. But before she did, she noticed his actions as he kissed her. His arms slowly made their way down her shoulders to her upper back, and his tongue was slow to enter.

It was so familiar, and wasn't tough to figure out who's it was very similar to...

Yuna gasped. Her eyes widened, and she pushed him away.

She had to look at him.

It had to be him, it had to be him, it had to be him, Yuna repeated.

The questioning look in her eyes made Tidus smirk. He didn't want to reveal himself just yet... but... maybe it was too late? She probably noticed the way he kissed. He kind of hoped that she did, but then again, he hoped she didn't.

"You...?" Yuna lowered her head and slowly shook it from side to side, then looked back up at him. She opened her mouth to say something, but nothing came out. Her throat was dry, and she was speechless, which was something that hadn't happened too often.

Tidus had no choice but to put the "bad boy" act back on. He grabbed her upper arm forcefully and began to run towards their companions again. This time, he wasn't going to let her go.

"Oh!" Yuna managed to spurt as she felt him pull her to the ground. He--maybe almost too forcefully--pulled her back up to her feet and continued to run. This couldn't of been her beloved Tidus... Yuna thought. She believed that with almost all of her heart. Tidus would never do this to her. She must have gave her hopes up to easily before. This wasn't him...

Tidus stopped in his tracks when he arrived where everyone else was standing.

"Uh, Yuna..." Lulu said in her "guess what" voice. Yuna looked up at her. Tidus quickly shook his head to Lulu, signaling that he didn't want Yuna to actually know who he was just yet. Lulu nodded an apology and faced Yuna.

"Who is this, Lulu?!" Yuna's eyes were like a begging puppy dog's. Begging to know... Lulu just smiled. "You'll see." She simply said. "Now! I want to know now!" Yuna bellowed, almost about to cry.

So if this wasn't Tidus, that would mean her friends weren't -really- her friends... No...

"No..." Yuna slowly shook her head from side to side.

Tidus decided he would open the door to Yuna's room with the cardkey Lulu had given him before they had breached the prison. He pulled the cardkey from his pocket and slipped it in the slot attached to the door. "Bingo!" Tidus whispered to himself, watching the red light turn green, meaning the door was successfully unlocked.

Tidus turned to Yuna and tugged at her arm, making a grunting noise.

The grunting noise was something he had picked up from Auron. Whenever Tidus made him angry or frustrated, he would always grunt an annoyed-sounding grunt.

"Lulu? Everyone?!" Yuna was so confused. As she was being pulled into her room by this faceless man, they were all smiling! Kimahri wasn't even trying to stop this man either! Yuna caught a smile on -his- face too! Rikku was acting like her giddy self when she said, "Have fun, Yunie!" And then giggled. That comment made Yuna's stomach wretch. There was something about her voice... maybe...?
