| Grand Theft Auto 2 Review GTA 2 is one of those games that no one can refuse. Only those type that find killing people sick won't enjoy the GTA series. But there is something wrong with that person if that is so. From when the first Grand Theft Auto kicked off it made it to the charts within days. No one thought there was a better game at the time. Of corse shorlty later came around Grand Theft Auto Londen mission pack. This did well again like the game before it. But then Grand Theft Auto 2 came around. And of corse that went again high in the charts. I am aware Grand Theft Auto 3 is out and will be doing a review of that once the ps2 site is up and running, but i am here to talk to you about Grand Theft Auto 2. Well using the 2d perspective like the original, still not in 3d, it gives you the opitunity to get gang respect. This is a new feature for the game making it get some extra spice. For example you can get respect from a gang and do jobs for them, then you can betray them and kill em giving you respect from another gang. Sounds fun eh? Well yes but once they hate you don't go stumbling into their neighborhood again or you will find machine guns, flamethrowers and or sorts firing at you. Well now lets talk about gameplay. Well yes it is improved like for example the cops are smarter like they work together to get you off the road, Unlike the first one. There are now two cops to a car which is harder work for you rather then the one. Rather then doing the missions you can just have fun messing about killing the people and sooner or later the army will be after you. There are tons of missions packed into the game so they will keep you busy for a while. There are loads of cars and trucks to nick and it gives you well i think stress relieve. So just had a hard day well relax and go kill some people to feel a little better. Works for me. Of corse they have the classic radio in there packed with songs and pop shows in between. The radio will keep you laughing with it's wacky stations. Now for the final question is it a good game? Well if killing is your thing and being a criminal then this is for you, but with GTA 3 about for only 30£ then stick with GTA 3. But GTA 2 dosnt have that extra bit of spice which is the 3d perspective which GTA 3 does have, so if you are that desperate go for this but i myself would go for GTA 3. OVERALL SCORE 6/10 Only get if you really are a GTA series fan! |
