Anime

Welcome to my Anime page everyone! As you can see, this site is pretty small, and most of the material only covers the basics of anime, hence, Anime 101! This page was meant to be used to introduce beginners to the wonderful world of Anime. So if you consider yourself an Otaku, then PLEASE cut me some slack. You probably know more about anime than me anywayz!

Well, now that I got that out of the way, let's get to the point. Here's a common question: What is Anime? Isn't it just Japanese cartoons? Firstly, Anime is, well... Anime! What more can I say? And secondly, NO!!! Anime is most definitely NOT just Japanese cartoons!! Please do not disgrace Anime with such a word! And don't look at me that way. Ask anyone who calls himself an Anime fan and you'll be sure to get the same answer!

OK, More stuff about me now. What anime series do I like to watch? Well, my favourite one would have to be, byfar, Gundam W and Endless Waltz. Why? Really, it's not even so much all the wicked fighting and way cool Gundams kicking butt, although that's what attracted me in the first place. What made it really, REALLY good was all of the ideologies presented through the story- about love, war, and peace. Well, maybe not so much the love part, but definitely war and peace.

Other series that I liked... Love Hina was probably my second most favourite. Dual! Parallel Trouble Adventure was pretty good too, as was Photon. Kare Kano is probably byfar the best comedy/romance anime I have ever seen! Vandread (First and Second Stage) would rank as the second best mecha, just after Gundam W ^.^ And finally, the new Final Fantasy series, named Final Fantasy Unlimited. It is actually very well done in that it keeps with the "spirit" of the Final Fantasy name. Expect a review by me on this series in upcoming weeks.

Miyazawa Yukino has always loved words of praise as far back as she can remember. Throughout her life, she has tried very hard to come out number one in everything, and to earn the words which she so desires. This lasted right up until high school, until she got her first competitor, Arime Souichirou. Right from when she met him, she hated him. While she tried very hard to be number one, he topped her without even trying. While her fake self that she takes to school talked to him like they were friends, her real self was planning his doom. This went on until he confessed to her that he loved her. This affected her little by little, until she ended up loving him too...

Though Hibiki and the crew of the NIRVANA defeated the super-huge battelship from Earth in the last episode of the First Stage, they learn that five more battleships are heading for Meijeru and Taraku, their home planets. They also know that Meijeru and Taraku are faced with the crisis of Karitori (harvest). Travel to their home is sped up so that they may inform of the crisis. On the way back, current information about Earth is brought to them by the girl Misty, who ends up traveling with them, is worse than they can imagine. Hibiki and the rest of the crew know that a true fight is in the future. Can they save their home? And what will happen in the relationship between Hibiki and Dita?
