My nightmare
Have you ever had the feeling, somewhere
someone's callin your name?
You look about to find the face, but it's dark and it's all in vain.
Have you ever been laying on your bed of nails, when the sun went down?
Did the nails rip and stab you? Did the night make you grown and frown?
And did the lonely hours of night catch your reaching for a hand
But, you just can't seem to hold on and you're in a foreign land.
Starting to scream inside-out "Won't someone please acknowledge me?"
You turn around in wonder, everyone has disappeared into a darkened sea.
Your temperature is soaring into a never ending flame
How can you escape from here, and end this hideous game?
Just when things are cooling down, or seeming to fade away,
You hear someone coming closer screaming, "You're a prisoner you must stay!"
You see a lover then, that you've missed for over a million tears
You want to hear that voice again cuz it's pleased you in past years
He disappears with a blink of your eye and a dragon takes his place
His eyes are shooting arrows, reaching you at such an incredible pace
These pictures seem to grow distorted and now they change their form
With this comes a chilling wind, and you're begging to be warm.
But the wind blows through your mind and echoes in your brain
and an old wrinkled hunch-back whispers "you're insane"
Music in the background won't keep any type of beat
and I try to justify it while running away but only reach defeat.
Then at last it's morning and the sun changes black to gold.
But your nightmare goes on with open eyes, and tell you your soul is sold.
And the brightness of the day only makes your bones creak and crumble.
You walk to find your connection but your legs collapse and make you stumble
Somehow in a daze of wonder you find the man with a cure so fine.
And now you dream in pastel colors everything in harmony and rhyme.
until a later time..
