Guide
To Dream Deciphering
You can use these points to decipher your own dreams.
Some dreams are simple, the meaning is clear and direct. Others are
more difficult, they have a deep subliminal meaning. There are many
theories on what dreams mean, here I have given you one theory I feel work
well in deciphering dreams.
The first step is to record your dreams (see Tips
and Tricks-Keeping a Dream Diary, Remembering
Your Dreams). After that comes a bit of 'questioning'.
As you read over your dream, ask yourself the following questions:
1. What are the
main images in the dream? (a person, place or thing that is the dream's
focus)
2. What comes
to mind when you think about these main images?
3. If there are
people in the dream, do they remind you of anyone, possibly even yourself?
4. Do places
in your dream remind you of anything/anywhere?
5. How do you
feel in the dream, and what is the overal mood?
6. Have any recent
events in your life occured that could be related to or triggered your
dream?
7. Does this
dream remind you of any previous dreams you might of had?
Look at your answers to these questions. Do they relate to each other,
and more importantly, do they relate to questions 6 or 7? By looking
at your answers, you can usually figure out what your dreams mean.
You can also refer to the Dream Dictionary
on this site. With this, you can take may objects, people or places
from your dream and look them up. The dream dictionary can tell you
what these things could possibly represent. After doing a bit of
reading and writing, the meaning of your dream should start becoming more
clear. But if it isn't, you could email
it to me, and I will decipher
it for you.
