By those defintions of serving and pleasing, kajira are NOT on Gor for themselves, but for the Free. So why is there so much trouble believing that? Following those guidelines? Is it simple to answer? No of course not, nothing is ever simple. Each of us are different, we're trained different, we feel different, and thank goodness we ARE different. Some of us are more pleasing then others, some smarter then others, and some just simply are, they are who they are. There is nothing simple about being a kajira.
syn can only talk from her experiences. There is something absolutely beautiful about the kajira who is striving to please with every ounce of her being. From graceful movement to the feelings that reside within her at the feet of her Owner. Knowing that her Owner completes her as she completes Him, that she is there for HIS pleasure and at His whim. If she displeases Him, then it is HIS right to punish her. Should she whine to others that she's being punished? No she should thank the priest kings she has a Master that is strong enough to take her to hand, guiding her and teaching her. His punishment is not for His pleasure but to teach her. Does syn think that her Master ever enjoys punishing her? Well maybe sometimes He enjoys the fruit of what she writes, or what He gives her to do in tasks, but no syn does not think Master finds joy in punishing her as often it's a punishment to Him as well she thinks.
To syn, she sees some kajira that simply are there for what they can get from other people. Is that wrong? hmm she doesn't really have that answer, as she is on Gor to PLEASE. It is something she strives to do, excels in and it is what feeds her to become a better and stronger kajira.
So if one serves to serve, Pleases to please what is left? A kajira on her knees, do they have a voice? Oh yes we have voices, slaves just need to remember where their place is. At the feet of Masters and Mistress's. If they give a slave permission to speak then so be it but we as slaves need to remember our places. Does syn always? heck no! she forgets her place and she's quickly snapped back into line and thanks her Master or the Free who catches her and reminds herself she is now slave. For syn her journey on Gor has been a hard won journey. Spending many years as a spoiled slave to being a FW, only to be slammed back into being a slave... Taking a break she left Gor for two years, many have asked her "Why did you come back?" Ahhh the beauty of being Gorean. There is so much beauty in being a Gorean. But when syn came back she was disgusted by what she saw, not only did she see manipulative slaves, she saw weak weak Men and Women. It saddened her beyond anything she'd ever imagined on Gor. She hated it truly hated it but she KNEW there was a place for her somewhere.. somewhere that she'd be welcome. Instead of continuing her journey as a slave, a Free Friend, Free'd syn making her a FW. She gloried in her postion. Did that Woman miss being a slave? OH yes often, but there was something different about being a Free Woman. She had Friends, She was respected. She had a Love that was like no other. And a home in Treve that she is so very proud of. So why did she submit to Law? Oh that's an easy question. Because being with Him, was like nothing she had ever felt. She loved being Free, but she felt a betrayl to her soul when in His precence. She felt she *belonged* again. Serving Him is it easy? *chuckles* oh no it's a daily journey for her, a daily challenge to herself and to Him. Keeping her fire and spirt in check but knowing to unleash it when He wishes it. Trying to remember that she is now slave in her Home that she was Free in for many moons. The urge to talk out for her is such a temptation.
So why is syn writing this? Hopefully to help other kajira know that it's okay to struggle, that we all struggle. Sometimes a girl looks at the other slaves smiles as she watches their beauty and wishes she were more like them, sometimes she watches the girls and cringe wishing she were brave enough to appraoch them and ask them to please be very careful. Sometimes it embrasses her to see the actions of some of the kajira of Treve how they act, how they speak to Free. She wants to shudder, okay she DOES shudder inside and it makes her ache and wants to make her want to reach out and smack them. Does she? No... no no no no. It is not her place to correct other slaves and their actions, but it makes her strive to be a better kajira showing the Free that not all slaves are so insolent in their actions. And in the end she does not as she wears the steel of Master Law, and her actions reflect to Him and she will never on purpose dishonor that steel. Nor displease Him on purpose.
