May
God be with all those whose lives were snuffed out by hatred during the
September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks on New York and Washington.
That
day, the world lost many brave souls, and ripples of pain and grief
spread to many nations. I offer my deepest sympathy to the families, friends
and co-workers of those who were lost. I pray for comfort and healing
for the people of The United States, and especially for the
children whose lives were changed for ever.
I
am a Canadian, and because my Mother emigrated and chose to become an
American, I have for many years been free to travel south in the
winter. I have come to know and appreciate the beauty and diversity of
America, and to value the friendships that I have there. I share your pain and
loss, and I hope that as the days pass we can continue to reach out with
love and courage to support each other; to offer hope and
healing and be strengthened and united by our desire
to defend and share the gifts of Liberty and Peace around the world.
"For
He will give His angels charge of you,
to
guard you in all your ways."
Psalm
581
