a dream in one act

They Thought

 

at first they thought he was gay

then bisexual

after that

they thought he was depressed

then desperate for attention

and then they thought

that he was twisted

and took his sarcastic remarks

as being the opposite

misunderstanding what he said

then they believed that their snide comments

bounced right off

that he took them as a joke

which he did

most of them at least

then someone who needed sympathy

after that

they thought he was just a loser

when he was really

just shy
