i honestly cant remember the reason for writing
this short film but i think the point is selfexplanatory

     FADE IN:

     COMPUTER SCREEN

     A WORD DOCUMENT ICON: "Dream-1.doc"

     The CURSOR clicks it.


     ROOM

     A MAN sits at a computer.

     The screen flashes as it opens up the document.

     He moves the mouse and clicks.


     COMPUTER SCREEN

     The title:

                       The Great American Novel

                                  by

     ... then it is cut-off from view.

     The cursor flashes at the end of "Novel."

     The SOUND of keys being hit.

     The cursor erases "Novel" ...

     .. typing SOUNDS as "Screenplay" is written.


     ROOM

     The Man holds his fingers over the keys.

     He leans back in his chair and reaches for the mouse.

     He moves it and clicks ...


     COMPUTER SCREEN

     The "File" menu is dropped.

     "Exit" clicked.

     The cursor hits "Yes" for saving the changes.


     ROOM

     He turns off the computer, then exits.


     KITCHEN

     He grabs his coat off a chair and grabs his car keys.

     He steps out the door, making sure it is locked.

     It is a bright, blue, sunny day.


     OUTSIDE CAR

     Driving somewhere.


     PARKING LOT

     The Man parks his car and gets out.

     Stops.

     Goes back, opens door, locks it.  Continues on.


     STORE

     Shopping.

     Searches for pop ... finds Coke.

     Searches for chips ... finds them.


     PARKING LOT

     He walks out with his groceries.

     Finds his car, attempts to open the door.  It's locked.

     He pulls out his keys, opens it.


     DRIVEWAY

     He pulls his car into the driveway.

     Parks it, gets out with groceries.

     FADE OUT:


     CUT TO:

     POP

     Being opened.


     CHIPS

     Being opened.


     CHIPS

     Being poured into a bowl.


     DIP

     Being flung onto bowl.


     ROOM

     The Man enters with chips and pop.

     He takes a seat and looks around for the remote.

     Can't find it, so he shrugs, gets up.

     He hits "Power" on the TV.

     It looks for his remote.

     BEEPING.

     He follows it to the remote.

     Sits down, eats some chips, flicks through the channels.


     REMOTE

     His fingers clicking it.


     CHIPS

     Fingers grabbing them.


     ROOM

     Watches a snowy reception.


     TV SCREEN

     Confused, black and white.


     EYES

     Watching, anxious.


     TV SCREEN

     Flips channels, still snowy.

     CLICK --

     -- BLACK


     THE END
