I was walking through the woods when I found this beautiful tree with colorful leaves all over it.I decided I wanted to go closer and check out the tree. As I started getting closer, so I could get to know the tree better, I heard something. And the closer I got, the more excited I became. The tree seemed healthy but there was some sadness to it. I knew I was meant to help this tree and fulfill its dreams. Once I finally got closer to the tree I saw the leaves slowly falling to the ground, one by one. As each leaf fell they made a beautiful tone, as if it was playing its song. It was very soothing and I never wanted to leave. There was a problem though, as one of the colored leaves fell it made a weird tone. Every time I saw that color fall it didn't sound right; as if it was telling me that something was missing. I gave the tree some of the water I had and told it that it was going to be ok. The sound was still there, but not as stong. I grabbed one of the lowest limbs of the tree and kept talking to it, telling it how beautiful and great the tree was. Letting it know it can't have a bad tune, because of all the things it was good for. Out of nowhere the tree seemed to thrive and played the most beautiful melody that I have ever heard and I knew from that day the tree was where I will always be. Written by Joel |

Dreams I once had a dream.... A beach, a white horse and a man. . The beach had wild rushing waves, Calmness gone with the tide; As my life had so long ago. The white horse, proud and bold Lasting beauty and strength; As I once was so long ago. The man, a vision in the ocean mist Looking for a love he once dreamed of. A glance is made and our eyes meet. The beach is smooth and tranquil- The horse is peaceful The man and I embrace and my heart is his. By Dawn Fairchild |
Every Woman Should Have.... One old love she can imagine going back to, and one that reminds her how far she has come. Enough money within her control to move out and rent a place of her own even if she doesn't want to or need to. Something perfect to wear if the employer or date of her dreams calls and wants to see her within the hour. A youth she is content leaving behind and a past juicy enough that she is looking forward to retelling it in her old age. The realization that she is actually going to have an old age and some money set aside to fund it. A set of screwdrivers, a cordless drill and a black lacy bra. One friend that always makes her laugh and one that lets her cry. A good piece of furniture not previously owned by anyone else in her family. Eight matching plates, wine glasses with stems and a recipe for a meal that will make her guests feel honored. A resume that is not even the slightest bit padded and a feeling of control over her destiny. Every Woman Should Know..... How to fall in love without losing herself. How to quit a job, break up with a lover and confront a friend without ruining the friendship. When to try harder... when to walk away. How to have a good time at a party she never choose to attend. How to ask for what she wants in a way she will most likely get it. That she can't change the length of her calves, the width of her hips or the nature of her parents. That her childhood may not have been perfect but it's over. What she would and wouldn't do for love and more. How to live alone, even if she doesn't like it. Whom she can trust, whom she can't and why she shouldn't take it personally. Where to go.. be it her bestfriend's kitchen table or a charming Inn in the woods when her soul needs soothing. What she can and can't accomplish in a day, a month or a year. Author Unknown |

When I first saw you, I was afraid to meet you. When I first met you, I was afraid to kiss you. When I first kissed you, I was afraid to love you. Now that I love you I am afraid to lose you. Author Unknown |
