Elizabethan London in the numerous eyes of an alien from the outer space Copyright DreamQuest4U Traveling from a planet to a planet, The Great Zaganza has finally reached the Earth. To start off his grand tour, he went to Elizabethan London. He had to be careful – people at that time knew a lot about astronomy and he could be discovered. Shortly before landing, he spotted many E and H shaped structures. The Great Zaganza was very surprised to discover that all houses in Elizabethan Times were shaped like E’s – for ‘Elizabeth’ – or H’s – for ‘Henry.’ As he looked a bit closer, he saw the that roofs of the houses were thatched and pointed – so the rain would drip off and leave it dry. Everything in the houses he was symmetrical. The Great Zaganza noticed some houses looked poorer than the others. As he read in his travel guide, there were many social classes. The richest people were the nobles and owned huge beautiful houses, while the poorest did all the dirty work. Besides that, in Elizabethan times only boys went to school. Therefore, when children grew up, men did all the work, and women stayed in the houses. The hotels were round and resembled O’s. Considering early acting companies moved from town to town and performed in hotels and lodges, the theatres were also round and looked much like the hotels. Just as the guests watched the performance from the balconies in hotels, the audience also observed from the balconies in theaters. Interestingly, the first theater built in London had a very frank name – The Theater. As the dawn approached, more and more people went outside. Women, Great Zaganza noticed, covered their entire bodies with elaborate dresses. Men also wore complex clothing, breeches and stockings. Children were dressed like adults. Considering his trip to Elizabethan London would soon come to an end, The Great Zaganza decided that a battlefield would make a perfect end to the tour. He realized the armory was not greatly modernized, but was definitely much better than what he previosly expected. The people had guns, but they were slow, inaccurate, and heavy. They had cannons and armor – though neither was very well made. However, bow and arrow were very advances - they even had 5 different types of arrowheads. The day was bright, and Zaganza could not risk stay on Earth in broad daylight, so he directed his Unidentified Flying Object to the nearest civilized planet to seek greater adventures! The End!
