Happy Valentine's Day!

Valentine Heart - Dali Style Saint Valentine’s Day is a known holiday honoring lovers. It is believed to derive from the ancient Roman feast of Lupercalis (February 15). The festival gradually became associated with the feast day (February 14) of two Roman martyrs, both named St. Valentine, who lived in the 3rd century. St. Valentine has traditionally been regarded as the patron saint of lovers.

"Earth hath swallowed all my hopes but she;
She is the hopeful lady of my earth.
"

"One fairer than my love? The all-seeing sun
Ne'er saw her match since first the world begun.
"

"For saints have hands that pilgrims' hands do touch
And palm to palm is holy palmers' kiss.
"

"Blind is his love and best befits the dark."

"Saints do not move, though grant for prayer's sake.
Then move not while my prayer's effect I take.
Thus from my lips, bythine my sin is purged.
"

"What's in a name? That which we call a rose
By any other word would smell as sweet.
"

"O, swear not by the moon, the inconstant moon,
That monthly changes in her circle orb,
Lest that thy love prove likewise variable.
"

"Parting in such sweet sorrow
That I shall say good night till it be morrow.
"
