03/02/01 - I've got sunshine on a cloudy day. When it's cold outside, I've got the month of May. That's just beautiful. OK, one step forward, 10 steps back. I no longer have a program to balance my checkbook. I can see this uncrashing is going to take a while. No printer, no CD ROM, no balancer. Go figure. I'm doing fine with what I've got. The rest will come together.

And what's the use of fretting? I had it all planned, my day off. Was heading to the Post Office and heard an old Beach Boys song,
Do You Wanna Dance? and changed direction and headed to the music store. They were having a sale on oldies, my lucky day. I came home with Beatles and Stones and Beach Boys too. But my nostalgia evening was not to be. I got a call from work, we need you. I've only had a chance to listen to a few of my favorite songs from the CD's. I let everything go. I focused on working and sleeping. And something happened ... I started writing poetry again. Maybe it was a need to get in touch with myself without taking pity on myself. I just know that I walked around with a smile on my face the last couple of days because I finally felt poetically sound.
