03/09/01 - I'm here waiting for AAA again. Dead battery. I did this a couple of weeks ago, remember? Wonder if I'll get Driver 33 again. Anyway, I'm stupid. He told me the battery was corroded. I planned to get another, but looks like not soon enough. That's the old me, a day late and a $ short ... Never again.

Well, the battery is alive again! Fixed! And another major accomplishment ... Got the G&S midi to play. This computer is a hand me down from The Scientist. He had so many music programs on this thing that none of them were working. I even had Napster, go figure. I went into the inner bowels of this machine (well sort of ... I clicked a few buttons and deleted some stuff, including Napster) and got Real Player working. Of course this experience took two hours.

Anyway, I've got music on the computer again and I've found a new radio station as well. This one is on the AM dial, and considering such, it's very cool. Its at 960 on my dial KABL ... America's Best Music. Now I thought I had heard oldies before, but these are really truly oldies. I heard Frank Sinatra and then Dean Martin crooned
When The Moon Hits The Sky Like A Big Pizza Pie ... and for some reason I know quite a few of the words to this music. But believe me, please, they are really before even my time. So, I'm satisfied. Who cares that all the distractions of the week have left an inch more dust around here. I have rhythm, who could ask for anything more?
