04/02/01 - The April Fool's joke is that I actually started writing this entry on March 31st. Oh well. John Lennon wrote, "Life is what happens when you're busy making other plans." So I wonder if there is any use trying to work on my schedule. Each week I start out with a very simple life, a very plain, lack luster existence and then somewhere along the line it seems to pick up some spice. Unfortunately it's not the savory sort like marjoram or thyme ... More like Cayenne pepper. On Sundays when I write my schedule for the week it's more like a wish list than an agenda. And anyway, I'm already behind ... It's Monday and I've just found my datebook.

Mondays are good for dreamers. I dream of turning over a new leaf. I dream of all the projects I will complete this week. I dream of a week where I don't get a phone call from the Principle's office, or an overdue notice from Blockbuster. Just because life may get in the way, there's no reason to stop thinking positively. And ... I'll never stop dreaming.

I should be sleeping ... darn day light savings time. We lost an hour so I'm waiting for my internal clock to catch up so I will feel sleepy. I dabbled with some creativity during the wait. The site is called
Image to Words. You see five images, you pick a word for each image, then you have five minutes to write using the words you picked.

wonder   peace   eyes   calm   float

Was it no wonder that for the first time in five years she felt peace? She was no longer judged. She was accepted. She could see that in his eyes. She could feel it. She was calm. He was just what she needed for the moment that she was. No longer did she have to dream a way out of the quagmire. No longer did she have to be depressed and grieving. She did not have to float away to an imaginary island. She had a reality now ... A wonderful true existence. She looked in his eyes and saw her own, the self of herself. It was worth it, the wait. It was all worth it.

Quagmire?

I dream of turning over a new leaf. I dream of discipline ...
