05/21/01 - The graduation was cool. It was interesting, different ... A rite of passage, one I had never participated in before. The Scientist seemed a little hesitant about participating himself, but as the evening wore on, the mood overcame him. At the end of the night, he was fairly well floating. That was neat, very cool.
I worry about all my sons, that's what mothers do. But The Scientist, he was my first, I made major mistakes with him. I hadn't a clue as to what I was doing with him, he was the experiment. Oh, he's definitely smart and he has a college education, but what about the time I dropped him on his head when he was a baby (by accident, of course). What about the lack of's that he experienced, the I thought you had more senses that I might have yelled at him. I guess we will see how all that turned out in time. He's on his own now, he's got whatever he's going to get from me to do with what he wants. He's on his own now.
