06/16/01 - Yikes, I've been busy doing stuff. Yeah, you heard me; I've been busy. There's something going on with my energy; I'm getting some. I still seem to have a foggy feeling at times (I think it's the heat) but things are actually getting done around here. And on top of that, I'm enjoying myself while staying busy. I'm fathoming myself a pioneer of sorts, playing around in the dirt a little, hanging my laundry on the clothesline, washing my car myself. Yes, I finally washed the car. I had a great time doing it. You remember Karate Kid don't you? ... Wax on, Wax off. The weather was wonderful, I felt great with every bend and stretch. There's no reason to make time for exercise; I can get plenty just being a pioneer. Take recycling ... What a way to get rid of frustration! I can really get into smashing cans and stomping the life out of gallon milk containers. It's profitable too, $11. The Child had another violin concert this week. There I was sitting on the bleachers in the gym; being carried away by the efforts of musical youth, in a classical sort of way ... More enjoyment. It doesn't take much to carry me away. I don't let a simple thing get by. However, I like complex as well. The grand finale for the evening was all the performers (4th though 8th grades) gathering together to play the Can Can, that was fantastic! |

Dream A Little Dream ... |
Yes, the energy is working overtime here I think. My car that I consider a classic was due for an oil change. Luck finally came into play as I received the DMV notice to register my car, which required a smog check. Wow, I was able to kill two birds with one stone. Usually I have The Scientist take my car in for service as a time saver for me. Not this time, I decided to go myself and take advantage of the time away. I had an hour to kill and spent it by walking the streets of my beautiful downtown. I'm not sure I ever found the beauty, but I did enjoy the walk. The weather has been warm in a just right sort of way all week! So there you have it, nothing earth shattering, but a most enjoyable week. I look around me now and the accomplishments are not all that noticeable. There's oh so much left to do. Oh well. I didn't get much writing done, not even my journal. The experiences were more tactile than mental this week. The pondering is starting to erupt, thank goodness. I was beginning to worry about my lack of pondering. Someday maybe I can get a balance going, the physical and mental all working at the same time ... Joy and rapture. |
