08/05/01 - I brought these flowers home with me on the train today. Beautiful, aren't they? I had a lot of attention from them. Many older women smiled at me. A gay guy asked if he could smell them. Another man told me all about his aunt who had a beautiful garden. I still love riding BART. I haven't gotten tired of it yet and it's been almost a year of Saturdays and Sundays that I've been a passenger. The weekend rides are quite comfortable, never crowded. Well, sometimes the trains can get pretty full if there are major sporting events happening. I pass by the Oakland Colisieum stop (home of the A's and Raiders) and you can be dropped off within blocks of the Giants in San Francisco as well. I'm not a big fan though I do enjoy attending a game here and there. I love watching the fans ride the train to the games though. They get very colorful, all ages, all shapes. It makes perfect sense to me to ride BART to any major event that can be reached by it. It's not only practical, it's relaxing and entertaining. I was going to try to make some sort of point with the above, but I can't. I'm tired. I had an active weekend. I did some cleaning (extra) and when I returned from my visit I gathered together 8 big bags of throw aways to go out with the quarterly garbage pickup. And I made a trip to Costco (expensive one at that) which always takes 2 1/2 hours for some reason. Yeah, I'm tired. So, instead of trying to make any sense of anything ... I'm just going to stop and smell my roses. |
