Turning and walking back over the hill towards the forest, you're about knocked off your feet by a deer-like creature with long ears...

"Ack!" you yell, stumbling backwards. Looking up, you can see the creature running down the hill, kicking up his heals and almost flying! Turning in wonder to Patch, you can tell he's laughing...

Wondering who that is, right? He laughs as you nod, still in shock at almost being trampled. ~That~ is our resident Mirkottie, Ian'Remus. His name means "The Fastest". I guess you can see why... Looking back toward the Mirkottie, you can tell that he loves to run! He hasn't quite gotten used to us, and the space the meadow offers, yet. He may be calmer in a few days, but I doubt it. He asked me to race when he first arrived and had me beat within a few yards of the start. Patch smirks. Lives up to his name quite well...

"Where did he come from?" you ask. He, like Lean'Kateern, is from The Lady's Manor. The Mirkottie were brought to the Lady by the Shan'omlee, who live in the mountain range near the Manor. Turns out the Mirkottie are ~very~ active and the Lady couldn't quite keep track of them all. So, she's letting them be adopted... You listen carefully to Patch, wondering if you would be so lucky as to be chosen to adopt a Mirkottie. Take a trip to the Manor and find out.

Nodding, you decide to visit the Manor later. Watching Ian'Remus running through the meadow, you start back toward the forest. Time to find out what that patch was...
