Rufus

Rufus is a Noop who spends most of his time dreaming (day and night) He dreams so much that it gets him into trouble when he is working. He had worked for most of the employers in the Noop village, finally working for Mr Wax the candle maker. Though he only lasted a few hours at this job after day dreaming got him fired once again.

Amberley, his best friend suggested that he should ask the old Dreammaker for a job as he should be an expert in dreams as that's what he spends most of his time doing. Rufus goes to see the Dreammaker and is taken on as the Dreammaker's apprentice. Rufus soon learns how important dreams really are in the fight against nightmares.

Rufus is strong headed Noop, sometimes charging into situations without thinking them through. In one episode his anger got the better of him and he went to Viltheed and poured dream mixture into Zodrak's Argorrible pit not realising this would have little to no effect on them.

He can also be a little careless sometimes, like when he used the real Dreamstone as a substitute for his Dreamstone shaped cake in the episode 'Sports Day' while he baked the replacement cake. He has lost the Dreamstone on other occasions down to stupidity, but always leads the charge to get the Dreamstone back each time it has been stolen. He cares alot for his friends (especially his best friend Amberley) which we saw when he found Zordrak had turned her to stone in the episode 'Into Viltheed'
