Caution: Norton Ghost Personal Edition is a powerful utility
program that performs complex operations on your computer. It is
recommended for experienced and highly skilled PC users only.

1. Overview

Norton Ghost Personal Edition is the fast and reliable software
solution to satisfy your needs for personal disk cloning and
copying; upgrading hard drives, backing up your hard drive for
disaster recovery, or migrating from your old PC to a new PC.
Those users familiar with Norton Ghost Corporate Edition will
notice the following limitations:
-Multicasting is not available.
-Images cannot be saved to or restored frrom network drives.
-The -BATCH and -SURE switches are not fuunctional.
Because of the above limitations, Norton Ghost Personal Edition is
not suitable for rolling out multiple PCs or hard drives. If you
want to roll out multiple PCs or hard drives, you will need to
obtain the corporate edition of Norton Ghost to get those

2. DOS Installation

To Install Norton Ghost Personal Edition from DOS, copy the
directory tree under the directory DOSINST to your hard disk.

3. Installation of Adobe Acrobat Reader

The Windows InstallShield script will install Adobe Acrobat Reader
on your system if you do not currently have it.
Adobe Acrobat Reader can be manually installed by running the
appropriate self extracting install program from the ACROBAT
directory on the CD.
