After a quick taste of skiing at the Selwyn day resort (over the June long weekend, and my first serious brush with the white stuff), we decided to take a five day break and stay on the snow at Thredbo. They had great deal for the beginning of the season.
We stayed at a place called Alpenhorn, which had a rate including meals which were fantastic. Its a good thing that we were skiing during the day.

Our chum John was also in Thredbo for some of the time, this is him showing us how snow boarding ought to done.
And this is the two of us on the top of crackenback mountain, having travelled to the highest lifted point in Oz.
