Dresden is exhibiting a considerable of the "Young America." Its business is being yearly extended. Flouring mills, foundries, a woolen manufactory, etc., are in successful operation.
A magnificent suspension bridge, built at a cost of nearly thirty thousand dollars, spans the Muskingum. An arm of the Steubenville and ? R.R. is to extend into the town; and it is on the direct line of the proposed Cleveland, Zanesville and Cincinnati R.R.
Dresden and the region round about, abound in ancient mounds, Indian relics, bituminous coal, beautiful scenery, iron ore, and fast horses.
