Death Summons Dresden Woman 


Mrs. Bertie B. Swope, 76, died early this morning at her home in Dresden
following a lingering illness. She was the wife of Charles G. Swope.

Born June 23, 1873 at Dresden, she was the daughter of Frederick C. and 
Mary Frances Wheelin Brill.

Surviving are her husband; a son, Arden K. of Raymondsville, Tex.; a 
daughter, Mrs. Frederick Christian of Newark; three grandchildren and
two great-grandchildren. A brother and sister preceded her in death.

She was a member of the Dresden Methodist church, the WCTU, WSCS, and 
the Dresden Chapter of the Eastern Star No. 260, and the Rose Shrine 
No. 8 of this city.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 o'clock Saturday afternoon at 
the Dresden Methodist church with Rev. Louis Bangerter officiating. 
Burial will be in Dresden cemetery.

The body will be removed to the residence tomorrow morning from 
the Baughman funeral home at Dresden.
