Get the News through Fox Audio Player
FAP is a simple and lightweight audio player distributed under GNU General Public License.
It features a dirlist view, where you can browse through your disk and bookmark directories in which you've stored your music, and a playlist view which is automatically filled with all the supported files contained in the selected directory. Then you can select whether to play the whole playlist or only a single song.
It is also possible to create custom playlists and save them for later use, just enter the edit mode and drag files from the dirlist view to the playlist.

FAP decodes audio files through various backends, selectable at runtime.

(*) Mpg123, ffmpeg and Mad backends enable support to proprietary formats so they are not compiled by default. You can enable them with the corresponding configure option, but only do so if you live in a country which doesn't recognize software patents.
