To start a journey together
Look lovingly to the future
With hearts light as a feather
One another to nurture

As time goes by the goal may dim
If you stray from the path on a whim
Hand in hand and heart in heart
Together you stay as it was in the start

Never let go of your lovers hand
Marked with that simple golden band
And feed each with love from your soul
As you both through life do stroll

The journey may be rocky at times
And dimming may be the bell's chimes
But heartbeats of love will win
Breaking walls of strife oh so thin

So together you will stay
Until old age I certainly do pray
For love is strong and eternal
All the poets have it in their journal

Your time together is to be shared
Because God has you paired
To bring one an other smiles and joy
And perhaps soon a new girl or boy

So the lesson of the journeys end
Is not just for today and you alone
But for all who also sit upon the throne
And who's lives happily will blend

It is not today but always tomorrow
That you must look to once and again
For tomorrow is where you will be
When your journey together will end.
