"Max!" Max turned at the sound of her voice. The guy with the black suit and glasses was pulling her into a black car. Max started running toward her but was stopped by the crying of his babies. He had to save Liz but he couldn't leave Ethan and Iris. Liz saw the look on his face and yelled "Stay with them, they need you more." They pulled her into the car but she held the door open long enough to yell one last thing. "I Love You Max." The car pulled away from the curb and was quickly lost in the sea of black cars. Max stood there alone not knowing what to do. A cry from Iris brought him back to reality and he quickly pushed the stroller to the jeep. They had bought two car seats the day before so he carefully buckled the squirming bundles into the seats before pulling out into the traffic leaving the airport. He drove as fast as he could legally and made it to Roswell in record time. He pulled up in front of the Crashdown and unbuckled Iris and Ethan and loaded them into the stroller before entering the cafe. Max scanned the restaurant hoping to see a familiar head. His eyes narrowed at the site of the only guy he knew. Kyle Valenti. Max pushed his feelings for Kyle aside and walked over to the booth. Kyle looked up as Max pulled the stroller over and sat down. Kyle sneered and said snidely "Doing a little babysitting Evans?" Max controlled himself and delivered the only weapon he had. "No Kyle, this is Ethan Maxwell and Iris Zorya Parker Evans." Kyle choked on his fry and had to take a swig of smoothie to swallow it down. "What? Since when do you and Liz have kids?" He asked in a confused but furious voice. Max wanted to smile but he remembered Liz and got back to what he was saying. "Look Kyle, I know we haven't been the best of friends, ever. I can't explain anything to you right now but I will. I need you to watch Iris and Ethan while I find Maria or Isabel." Kyle heard the urgency in Max's voice and nodded his head. Max sighed with relief "Thank you Kyle. Ok so don't let them out of your sight. Don't let anyone take them away from you no matter what." Kyle smiled a genuine smile and said "I will, but this doesn't mean were friends." Max smiled and said "Right not friends." Then he walked into the back of the restaurant. No one was there. He walked out the back door to his jeep and drove to his house. He walked into the kitchen and hollered "Isabel you here?" He heard a squeal coming from upstairs and was soon greeted by Isabel and Alex. Isabel's usually perfect outfit was wrinkled and her hair was a mess and Alex had lipstick on his collar and all over his face, and his shirt was untucked. "Umm...We were studying for that huge Lit test." Isabel said smiling nervously. Alex just stood there looking very embarrassed. "Uh Alex you have lipstick on your collar and all over your face." Max said with a shy smile. Isabel looked at Alex and started laughing. He looked indignantly at her and said "You should see yourself, your not exactly presentable." Isabel laughed one last time and pulled him into the bathroom to clean up. Max followed them and watched them tidy themselves up. Isabel smiled at him but her smile quickly turned to a frown at the look on her brothers face. "Max? Are you ok? Where are Ethan and Iris? she reached over and took his hand. Her face changed from worry to horror at the rush of images she saw. He pulled his arm away and the connection was broken. Isabel grabbed Alex's arm and pulled him away from the mirror where he was trying to get the lipstick off his shirt and dragged him to the jeep with Max close behind.

They drove to the Crashdown as fast as possible. They walked in to find Michael and Maria yelling at Kyle and the sheriff, and Iris and Ethan screaming as loud as they could. Max rushed over and picked up Ethan in one arm and Iris in the other. "Shhh Its ok its ok everything is better. Daddy's here now, no more reason to cry." He cooed to the infants. They quieted down and fell asleep as he rocked them in his arms. He looked up at the six people who had stopped fighting and were now watching him. "Ok now does anyone wanna tell me what's going on??" He asked patiently as if speaking to a bunch of 2 year olds. Maria took a deep breath and said "We had gone to the store to pick up some stuff for the babies, we came back and saw them with Kyle. We walked over and bent to say hi and he stepped in front of the stroller and he wouldn't let us see them. Well we freaked and started telling him to buzz off and that we would take over, which probably wasn't the best way to go about it but we were worried. He told us to get away from them and that he had everything under control. Then we all started yelling and then the sheriff walked in and automatically took Kyle's side. So we yelled and hollered at each other and then you came in." everyone nodded as she finished her story. Max smiled and nodded his head. "I asked Kyle to watch them, he had strict orders to not let them go any where with anyone. I appreciate that he obeyed them." Michael and Maria looked a little embarrassed and Kyle was sulking in a corner of the booth, the sheriff was looking from Max to the twins and at the rest of the onlookers." For those of you who haven't been introduced this is my son Ethan Maxwell and my daughter Iris Zorya Parker Evans. Now I need to talk to M&M and I&A privately. Kyle nodded half listening but he didn't look up until Isabel cleared her throat. Kyle looked at Max and Isabel and got up from his booth. He dropped a ten dollar bill on the table and followed his father out the door. Max stood up and handed Iris to Maria and Ethan to Isabel and lead them to Liz's room. Max looked around at the group of friends and felt his heart wrench when he realized that for now there was an empty spot in it. Isabel saw the look on his face and stood up. "Max you hold Ethan and I'll tell them ok." Max nodded and took his son from Isabel and sat down on the couch. Isabel not knowing any other way to tell them decided to go with the direct approach. "Ok so this is really bad news, Liz was abducted at the airport by this guy in a black suit and dark sunglasses. He pulled her into a black car and drove off." Isabel said quickly. Everyone sat still for a few minutes letting news sink in. Maria continued bouncing Iris on her knee, and Iris continued sucking on Michael's finger. Alex sat alone, with a picture of him Liz, and Maria in his lap. Max was holding Ethan and playing with the small whisper of brown hair on his head. "Why would anyone take her?" Maria asked trying to stay calm and failing miserably. Max could see the tears in her eyes and he felt so helpless not knowing where Liz was, how to get to her, how to protect her. Maria saw the pain in his eyes and stood up. She walked over and sat down next to him. "Max there was nothing you could've done. You did what you had to do. You can't give up." Isabel came over and sat down on the other side of Max. "Max, Maria's right you have a responsibility to her and to Iris and Ethan. You can't just stop trying, we won't let you." Isabel said. Max looked at Maria and Isabel and smiled a forced smile. Michael got up and walked over to his best friend. "Max we will find her, you or Iz can go into her dreams and see if she knows where she is being held and, Alex can do some research on the computer to try and find out where she is. And Maria and I can help you with Ethan and Iris." Alex nodded and stood up. "Were all involved, and we will do all we can to find her." Max looked at his son and daughter and smiled at his friends. He stood up and handed Ethan to Isabel and said "Well we had better get started. Max walked to the door and opened it to find Kyle Valenti leaning against the wall with a snide grin on his face.
