Thanks from Drikung Mahayana Center
We would like to take this opportunity to send our warmest regards and appreciation to all those who have come to His Eminence Garchen Rinpoche's April teachings and empowerments, as well as those who have lended us a hand and worked hard to make it all happen. Although this note has taken some time to reach you, words cannot describe how touched we were of your devotion and genuine interest in the precious Dharma.
For three nights, Garchen Rinpoche bestowed a series of wonderful teachings on the "Words of My Perfect Teacher," and each night, about 35 people came to receive the teachings. More than 90 people attended the Mahamudra empowerment, and the number of attendees reached over 80 for the Amitabha empowerment at the Vietnamese temple. Many people were from out of states, including but not limited to Florida, Connecticut, Pensylvania, Wisconsin, Massachusetts,etc... We feel very blessed with His Eminence's presence and teachings, and look forward to his next visit in the Fall.
Again, we very much appreciate everybody's effort in making the teaching event a memorable and meaningful experience. Our heartfelt thanks to Lama Bu Nima, Sy and SueSue, Maureen and Peter, Tashi and Genyen, Alex and Jennifer, Tenzin and Dechen, Sopa and Pemba, Brock, Muril, Sharon, Garett, Deborah, Michelle, Hung, James, Krim, Ann, etc... and all those whose names we missed! Thanks for working hard behind the scene, designing flyers and brochures, making copies, setting up, cooking, washing, and cleaning up, etc.... We couldn't have done it without you!
We have set up a photo website of the event for everyone to enjoy, and hope that for those who couldn't make it this time, the site can warm your heart and bring you closer to Garchen Rinpoche, photo by photo.
