A Carp's Tale is an ongoing coming-of-age story.
I am like a child born into a world without warmth. I have joined yet again the heartless world of the blogosphere. I am pushed forward into its nothingness by an innate need to show off my writing skills and "deep" thoughts in a forum that is unforgivingly public.
I've had serveral blogs, all of which have failed. However, lately I find myself more and more opinionated and feeling the need to express myself through something other than my Xanga.
Yes, I have a Xanga. No, I'm not proud of it. Stop laughing.
This design is the product of one incredibly bored night in which I decided I could still work with HTML and CSS. It's the first thing I've done design-wise in a year or so, and has been much easier than I remembered, because I'm using a Powerbook G4 this time around instead of a 800 MHz PC with 128 MB of RAM.
If I had had this equipment back in high school, my designs and blogs back then probably would've been around ten or twenty times better than they were. Not that they were bad, though. I don't have any of the old designs, but I was happy with most of them. It's just I'm generally so uncommitted that I let most of them die. Hopefully, this one will last a bit longer.
So we'll see. If not, it's another wasted night in which I produced a nice-looking design. If it does succeed, maybe some people will read it and either agree or disagree with me, leading them to comment and making this into one of those blogs that's actually read by people. Time will tell.
