First of all, everyone has a skeleton (or four) hiding in a sealed closet somewhere. Click here to see mine: The Closet Ok, now that I have that out of the way, we can continue.
Western Dragons are usually very full-bodied; they lack the hair and whiskers of their Eastern cousins, but have very powerful wings. In general, they are seen as an evil that must be destroyed and are even used as symbols for the devil. So we have kinghts in shining armor to slay these great beasts. Western dragons also tend to keep hoards...gold is a soft metal which makes a wonderful bed.
Dragons exist in basically every culture around the world. There are those that breathe fire, those that fly, those that swim, and those that posses magic.
Unicorns are magical creatures often pictured and described as a horse with a single horn protruding from its forehead, but they have many looks in many cultures. In the middle ages the unicorn was a symbol of power, magnificence, and purity. However, this meant they were often hunted fro their horns which were said to contain the source of their power and could do many miraculous things. Often, a virgin was placed where the unicorn would come across her, and because of their purity, the unicorn would lay its head in her lap. The hunters and their dogs would then capture the "beast." Not all unicorns are pure and innocent though; some are downright evil. Some are described as having fangs and claws with which they kill people.
There are many other wonderful creatures. To learn more about them, please go to The Encyclopedia of Monsters, etc. or Mythical Creatures
