FAC News - 27 March 2001 Hadi Awang is "busy" with his second wife: Rosnah Majid Recently, Rosnah Majid, a Kedah State Assemblywoman and Executive Councilor, made a trip to Washington DC to meet the Malaysian community in the US. Rosnah is from UMNO, the dominant partner in the ruling coalition, while Kedah is Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad’s home state. The meeting between Rosnah and the Malaysian community was hosted by the Malaysian Embassy in Washington. The entire Malaysian Embassy staff was also made to attend the meeting. The purpose of the meeting was to allow Rosnah to brief the Malaysians in the US on the current political developments back home. Amongst some of the things she said was: 1. UMNO is a platform for the Malays and she cannot understand why the present generation plus the heads of government departments no longer support the party. 2. The National Justice Party (keADILan) is not a Malay party while, on the other hand, the Pan-Malaysian Islamic Party (PAS) can resort to sending a Chinese New Year message to the Chinese community in the Chinese language. How is PAS able to look after Malay interests when keADILan constantly instigates the party? 3. Anwar Ibrahim has stolen money from the Employees Provident Fund (EPF) to help his cronies. Anwar always spills the "shit" on others while it is he who is corrupted. 4. Anwar is a traitor to the nation and, according to the law, traitors can be put to death. 5. Abdul Hadi Awang, the PAS Chief Minister of Terengganu State, is having a lot of problems – he is "busy" with his second wife – and because of that UMNO may be able to recapture the state the next general election. 6. Nik Aziz Nik Mat, the Chief Minister of Kelantan State, does not know how to administer the state. He also knows how to "baca doa" (recite prayers) and "ceramah" (give speeches). 7. Rosnah also commented that only the old and uneducated people still support UMNO. The young and educated have deserted the party. 8. Rosnah then said Nashrudin Mat Isa, the Secretary General of PAS, never visits his constituents and that she has to "clean his shit". 9. Many government servants and staff of agencies such as PETRONAS support the opposition. Rosnah added, if these people do not support the government then they should resign from their jobs as the government does not want these types of people around. One student then stood up to ask why he should vote for UMNO. Rosnah replied, "Because UMNO has always looked after the Malays". The student then replied to the stunned silence of the assembly that he would never vote for "you guys" because "you are all corrupted". |
