How to get elected at divisional level

Get as many supporters as possible to attend the division's a.g.m. because the will vote for you.

Get the support of branches chiefs who would in turn persuade their branch reps to support you.

Offer incentives to branch chiefs and branch reps:

(1) trip to Medan or umrah
(2) support for projects
(3) cash
(4) invite them to dinners

Assign gurkhas to lobby for you

Remember to get elected you must:

(1) Promote yourself
(2) bring down others - fitnah is acceptable as a norm.
(3) get support from top leaders
- promise them that you would support them for higher posts such as mkt or vp in return

Requirement (You must be willing to invest some cash to bribe branch chiefs and reps.):

As divisional head : RM 10,000,000
Youth head: RM 2,000,000

Being dirty if part of UMNO culture. Without being dirty you can get nowhere. If Dr Mahathir can be dirty, it is no harm for you to be just a little dirty as well. Once you head a division, the return is limitless for you, your family and your cronies.
Good luck to you.

Bakri Umno vice-chairman faces action for false reports

By Hamdan Raja Abdullah
MUAR: The Bakri Umno division has taken disciplinary action against its vice-chairman Amat Saat Amat for allegedly submitting false reports to the party headquarters.

The division decided at a meeting here on Wednesday to take the case to the Umno supreme council to decide on the matter.

Amat had alleged that 11 branches in the division had held their meetings at the home of division chief Datuk Mazlan Abu on March 3.

He submitted his reports to party president Datuk Seri Dr Mahathir Mohamad, deputy president Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi and the three Umno vice-presidents.

Mazlan said yesterday the reports were slanderous and had damaged his name as a division leader.

Mazlan said the reports were not true as only six branches held their general meetings at his house, adding that they were carried out according to party regulations.

He said he allowed the meetings because one of them--the Sri Maharani branch--was his own branch.

Two others--Taman Medan and Taman Marin branches--were headed by his sons, Sulaiman and Othman respectively, he said.

The others included Taman Fajar, headed by Mazlan's brother-in-law Zainal Yahya and Sri Andalas, headed by Mazlan's nephew, Roslan Manap.

Mazlan said the sixth branch--Ikatan Murni, which was formerly part of the bigger Sinar Baru branch--held its meeting at his house because the branch had no suitable place to hold its meeting.

Mazlan explained that since four of the branches were headed by his relatives and they lacked money to provide food and a suitable meeting place, he decided to accommodate them to save money.
