Kalanmor Freth is the son of Vyxyn Rilynund and Honglath Freth. He is lithe and tall, giving him a willowy appearance, and has well-toned muscles. He has bright green eyes like his mother but flecked with the blue of his father’s eyes, and his hair is cut short but long enough to be fairly messy, with bangs to his eyebrows; it hangs down about his ears. He wears two big, thin golden hoops in his ears, one on each side, as well as an emerald held in gold wiring that is said to come from his mother’s old headpiece, which is right above the single hoop in his left ear, so it’s not high on his ear. He doesn’t always wear the hoops, but he always wears the emerald. His clothes usually consist of a tight, brown, studded leather outfit (also his armor) with many straps, buckles and rivets along it, and on his waist he wears a belt of fifteen daggers, all enchanted, a gift from his uncle Veldrin. Each dagger looks different from another, from small curved ones to long thin sharp ones, and he has two more curved, long sister-daggers tucked into his boots, named Slicer and Splitter; they have dark brown gold-decorated handles.

    He is a fairly good monk and a powerful psion, and follows no deity, though Veldrin often talks to him of Vhaeraun. In the family he usually keeps to himself unless needed, and secretly wishes for his step-mother Qu’enil to be his lover instead of Honglath’s. However, he does like to go out to be with friends or he does missions for people to get paid, using his unique skills. He meditates every day and practices his techniques, and is a very independent drow.

    As a draconic drow, Kalanmor has an alternate form. He has pure black wings that extend six and a half feet in length each. His height goes from 5'8 to 6'5. Unlike Honglath though, his wings are completely black and his hair is the same except for silver tints here and there. And he has a feature Honglath doesn’t have--two very slightly curved, smooth, silver horns sweeping back from the back of his head, like those of a silver dragon.

    Because this form is actually his true form, he have the special spell-like ability Alternate Form; an aura of the spell polymorph constantly surrounds him (for example, those using the spell true seeing can view Kal in his true form); he can disable and use it whenever he wishes. Stepping into an anti- or dead-magic zone negates this and he will revert back to his true form.

    Like his father and uncle, Kalanmor has inherited the breath attack ability of their silver dragon relation, a cone of cold, in which he must swallow and trigger a reaction in his lungs to use. He does not need to be in his alternate form to use it.

Psionic Powers

 

Kalanmor's psionic powers are chosen on the fly--he doesn't need to prepare any set ones ahead of time nor pray. As long as he has the right amount of psionic power points and the proper level, as well as the ability requirements (to manifest a power within a particular discipline, a psion must have a key ability score of at least 10 + the power's level), he can manifest any psionic power any time he wishes.

Kalanmor's power points: 147 + 27 bonus = 174.
