In October, we traveled to Dallas for a business meeting for Shanna. We stayed the weekend and visited some friends. We all went to the State Fair at Fair Park on the 5th.

By the time we arrived, the rain was pouring so hard, we almost turned around and went home. Luckily, our patience paid off and the rain died down by late morning. It was, however, quite cold the rest of the day.

Our activities for the day included walking around the auto show, watching dogs fly through the air and listening to the Drum and Bugle Corps of the US Marines.

I think one of the favorite activities of the kids was the petting zoo though. Kyle and Brooklyn got to see and pet sheep, goats, pigs and several others.

At the end of the day, we were tired and cold, but glad we waited out the rain in the morning.
