With Mairsil gone, Barl Seized control and single handedly converted the entire empire to the Spider Queen. He then declared Mairsil bannished from the empire forever more and began to push L'barra towards a time of prosperity. For converting an entire empire of drow to the Spider Queen, which was foremly of an enemy god, Barl was allowed to Rule Under two conditions. First, Barl was to rule side by side with a preistess and was to respect the wishes of the High Priestess. The second condition was that Barl must continue to lead the drow of the surface world in the name of the Spider Queen and to spread drow power.
