I love building drums, and have been
since 1989. I create them in the tradition of my grandfathers. I am part Cherokee, and
have been teaching my 17 year-old son how to build them as well. I
live in in a small town in the Puget Sound area, south of the Canadian border. I often
spend time watching the hawks and bald eagles flying over the backwoods.
I've been married for over 20 years to my beautiful bride, Geri.
She is also involved in our drum creation, and paints many of the graphics you see
depicted on their faces. |
A 4H leader for over 5-years, I am involved in the horse program
and enjoy working with the kids.
I focus on you as I create your drum, and then bless it from my
mind and heart with sage, grown in California. I'd like to suggest the you create a
medicine bag from a favorite cloth or handkerchief containing special items. Attach this
to the "cross" at the back of the drum.
I hope you enjoy your drum as much as I love building them for all
of you. |
