| As a sixth grader, I was very interested in becoming a part of the band program. Most students had started in fifth grade, so I was behind a year. My band director wanted to put me with the fifth grade band, but i told him I wanted the challenge. By the end of my sixth grade year, I was first chair alto sax. I have continued to play alto sax until now; a junior in high school. During this time, I have played baritone sax, tenor sax, marching snare drum, and I am currently the Drum Major (second year). I intend on entering Ball State University in the fall of 2003 and majoring in Music Education. |
