Hmm...I know I shouldn't, but I'm going to let the pessimistic little girl inside me loose for now. I'll be back though.
Okay, I really f*cked up the second page to "Gaijin." I was playing around with Photoshop and I totally went overboard on editing the page. I wish that I could redo it again, but that takes time, and effort...I really don't have the energy for that. I'm such a loser. I'm also not really satisfied with the storyline of "Gaijin." There isn't anything very unique about it (I guess you won't find out until later). I just hope I think of something better for the storyline than what I have planned out now.
Okay, I'm back.
I really liked how some of the pages of "Gaijin" turned out. Usually I have had trouble with drawing landscapes (oh how I wish I had assistants), so I just kind of randomly scribble something that's supposed to look like a tree. I guess I got lucky. No, actually, I've been spending a good amount of my money to get some manga so that I can study how professional artists do landscapes. I have to say that it has helped me out a lot.
With the school year starting soon, I have to hurry up with drawing more of this comic or I'll never have the time once the agony of homework makes its way back onto my agenda. I've actually been pretty consistant in drawing this comic (which is a miracle). I just hope that I can continue this until maybe the end of the year or until people will actually wait to see my comics (MUAHAHAHA!)...I'd say that the first option looks more plausible.
@_@ Covers are really hard to draw, see as how I only have two established characters in the comic so far. yeah. Maybe I'll just have Hanna alone for the first cover. I don't even know why I need covers...they just seem like a part of the comic, kind of like freetalks.
What else can I say? I hope you enjoy GAIJIN. Hopefully I'll turn up some more pages by the end of the year.
