Off Road Day

Nice bow wave!

The local young farmers group, together with the local Land Rover dealer, organized an off road day at a farm local to Beverley. It was a good opportunity to get off road and play with the farmers permission.

They had set out a course around the farm incorporating banks, twists, pools etc… nothing very challenging but good fun.

Testing a 110

The Land Rover dealer had a selection of vehicles you could have a go in (for a small fee) or have a go with your own. As you can see from the pictures, I had a go in my Defender and had a go in their 110CSW. The CSW was good until it came to the very tight turns, if you didn't anticipate you ran out of lock.

washing the 110

The dealer wasn't fussed about you getting them wet either.

Mark trying out a 90

My mate Mark had a go (he's the one behind the camera of a lot of these)

There was also a Camel Trophy 110 at the day that the dealer owned. This had definitely seen a hard life, and was giving people a trip round the course…shame I didn't get a picture of it.
