Well - I try to wait until interesting things happen to write, but I feel this time I have waited too long.
Here is a breakdown of the last bit of life...
I feel awful about AJ breaking up with Brian even if I do dislike AJ I still would never wish something like that on Brian. He isn't doing too well and last I heard Marija was going to make sure he wasn't alone for the next couple of days (as much as she can with her TWO jobs and a fiancee) but I know she's happy that she's going to be getting her good friend back. Marija and AJ have some pretty unseemly history together (culminating in physical violence) that ended their friendship forever, which wasn't all that healthy a friendship in the first place so it was probably for the best.
I really hope Brian will be okay. I know he'll get through it just like we all have when we went through breakups that made us feel so hollow that empty seemed full...
Phyllis....Phyllis Phyllis Phyllis...what the hell was that girl thinking? She drove from her home in Berwyn, IL to Hammond, IN at 2 in the morning to drop off a package anonymously on the front porch of Jan & George (a couple we know) to attempt to rattle George's cage. Of course, she didn't drop it off until after George had left for work already so he never even saw the package. Jessica, Jan & George's 10 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER was the one who brought it in and mentioned that "it ticked" to her mother. She also noticed it rattled like there was metal inside. Jessica will be afraid of delivered boxes for a very long time now.
I didn't really think she'd do it. She talked to me about it, but it seemed so darn involved as plans go that I didn't think it would happen. I mean, who drives from the other side of Chicago, to Indiana to make a point? But according to other people she wasn't IN Berwyn, IL when she put together this ill fated "april fool's joke" so she was actually much closer to J&G than everyone originally assumed.
Needless to say ~ No one thinks this is funny.
Joseph has been under bunches of stress lately. I didn't know that. How was I supposed to know when he didn't tell me? He just started acting ... well ... kind of surly and I was left to assume ... I don't know what I was supposed to assume/think but it certainly wasn't anything positive. Thank goodness it's over. He actually thought I thought he was trying to take advantage of Kathy (financially) with the whole apartment building thing. What a laugh! I was afraid he was going to be overly helpful to her or ... how do I put it...I was afraid he would be the OPPOSITE of taking advantage of Kat. Does that make any sense?
Peggy is Joseph's sister. She has the same failing I do which is a love of older men. She just went to Arizona for a week to spend it with a man she met over the internet who is retired and living in Arizona. She has "that glow" in her eyes, and I think that is wonderful! She is going out to spend the whole month of June with him, and if everything works out, she is moving to Arizona ... probably by the end of the summer. Which is exactly what she wanted.
Kathy will be here THIS SATURDAY! She will stay with me until such time as her apartment has been redone. It needs a new bathroom and stuff. This will be so great. We will get friends! We will have a social life! We will be unstoppable!!! I have so much trouble meeting people on my own, I get so darn shy that I can barely speak to strangers which is not the best way to make friends. Oh well, that will all change soon. Thank goodness! I don't think I could deal with too much more of this self imposed hermatige!!!
My apartment - It looks so nice! And non-cluttered! And clean! And beautiful! I can't wait for Kat to bring my pictures back from NC so that I can put them back up on my BARE BARE walls! It will look almost *gasp* like a home!!! Can you believe it? I can't...
This Saturday afternoon (Kathy arrives at 7pm) I am going with Joseph's mother and sister to the College Club. Not sure what this group of women has to do with being collegiate but it's not really important I guess. I show up, talk to the elderly women, donate a couple dollars into a raffle I hope I don't win, and go home. This makes Joseph's mother happy, which, in turn, makes Joseph happy. He owes me for this. I wonder where I can have him take my great grandmother and myself next???
That's it until next time! If you have any questions about this or any other far fetched (BUT COMPLETELY TRUE) stories I have told, Drop me a line and I will be happy to clear up anything I can!
