| Popstar!: What do you look for in a girl? Frankie: She definitely has to have a good personality. She has to make me laugh. Looks are always nice, but it isn't #1 on my list. Chris: Someone who catches my eye that has a great personality. I love a girl with a good personality, someone I can laugh and kid around with 24/7. Someone who's not afraid to have fun and be herself...a nice girl! Matt: She's got to be good-looking, cute, have a good personality. I like a girl who has a good sense of humor. Jesse: I love personality. I love a girl who likes to go out and either go dancing or just have fun, go out partying and stuff. Greg: I like to have a good time with a girl. She has to be fuuny- like when she can laugh at my jokes. Then we can have a really good time. Also when we have things in common. What's the first thing you notice about a girl? Frankie: That she can have a good time and I always like to see how she acts around other people to see if we'll be able to get along or not. Matt: The first thing I notice is her eyes. Greg: Her smile and her eyes. Chris: Eye contact- if a girl is pretty that really doesn't matter, but if a girl catches my eye and we make eye contact then right there I just have to ask her name because eye contact always gets me. Jesse: Their eyes and their smile a lot. What's your idea of a perfect date? Chris: I don't know. Going to the movies is always an awesome date- you're sitting there spending time with a girl you like. I like to go to a nice restaurant...you know, get McDonald's or something. No, I'm kidding! [Laughs] Go get something to eat, go to the mall, go to the movies, hang out, see a show- just do anything. Matt: Going to the beach with a girl. Frankie: Probably one that when you go home it makes you think about it for a week or two or even more. [Laughs] If everything just goes right and the two of you click and you can't get her off your mind, that's probably one of the best dates. Greg: I'd have to pick her up in my really nice convertible- it would have to be a Lamborghini, actually, forget about the convertible. We'd drive around and I'd take her to the beach. We'd watch the sunset at the beach and we'd eat strawberries on a blanket. Jesse: Either going and hanging out with a bunch of friends as a group or going dancing or to the beach. Have you ever had any dating disasters? Greg: Well I know I met this one girl and I was hanging out with her the whole night and I went home and I called her and every time I tried to get back together with her she always had something to do. The whole "I-have-to-wash-my-hair" thing? Greg: Yeah, "I've gotta go away this weekend..." [Laughs] Chris: One time I came out of a movie with my girlfriend at the time. The week before I had been going out with the other girl, and this was the first time I went from one girl to the next. I actually had both of them in mind when I went out with the one, but it didn't work out. So I decided to go out with the girl that I guess I really liked. I went out with her, got out of the movies, and there she is, the girl who I had just broken up with. But I really didn't tell her yet...[Laughs] This isn't making you sound too favorable! Chris: I know! I've got to make this better! No, we weren't that close. We weren't serious at all. We didn't say we were going out, you know what I'm saying? We get the picture. Chris: Anyway, she didn't know I was with this girl on a date. So she comes up and kisses me real quick, and when she found out, she was really understanding. She was like, "Oops." But the other girl who I did like, she was mad. That was a disaster. Big-time. Greg: I was at the movie with a girl and she had a really bad snorting problem. It was a comedy- that was quite a disaster. Jesse: I've had two disasters, actually. One, just recently, this girl and I were going out for about eight months and we broke up but we made it through and we're friends now. How does a girl know if you're interested in her? Frankie: I guess I start flirting with her. I guess that's it. I don't really know what else I do! [Laughs] Chris: Well, normally when I flirt with a girl, it's a playful flirt. It's pushing and kiddind around. When I really like a girl, I take her seriously and I don't treat her like every other girl. I treat her with a special warmth. If she's sitting next to me I don't brush her aside, I have a full conversation with her. I'm just going to talk to her from the heart. You can normally tell when I like a girl. Greg: Usually I'll make it pretty obvious because I'll give her the little eye thing. I make it pretty obvious. Matt: I guess if I talk to her a lot. Jesse: Yeah, I'd probably start talking to her, giving her looks. *** What do you love about New York? Chris: I can walk out of my apartment and never be bored. I live in Manhattan so across the street is a movie theater and I have every known electronic store around me. I love electronics so I can go check out everything. Everything you can think of is right next door to me- Ben and Jerry's, Burger King, McDonald's- literally in two blocks. There are so many diverse parts of New York City. I can chill out in Chinatown, go uptown, I can do whatever I want. Jesse: I love everything about New York. I love the city. I love to come down here and just chill, especially at night. Just come down with a lot of friends and go to Times Square. I love the city. Frankie: There's no place like New York. You can find anything you want to do in New York. Manhattan in great. I live in the Bronx. Clubs, a whole bunch of different people everywhere. I've been to a lot of places with the group and I still always love New York the best. Matt: I live in Westchester and and I love New York because we live really close to the city and it's a great place. It's just fun. It's a really happening place. Greg: I love the clubs of New York- there's a lot of dancing. Times Square is the greatest. What is something you love about being in Dream Street? Frankie: Well, since the group started three years ago, these guys have become my best friends, so I love hanging out with them. Being onstage performing is probably the best thing about it. I love getting up onstage and hearing all the fans scream and call your name- it really gets me going. I love performing. Matt: The girl part is pretty cool. And just touring with your friends is cool. Greg: I get to travel and do what I love- that's what our true love is. I get to travel with my four best friends and meet all kinds of really cool people. If a girl could give you anything for Valentine's Day, what would you want it to be? Chris: A kiss. Frankie: Maybe just a card telling me how much she likes me. Greg: If I could choose anything, I would choose a date with Britney Spears! What do you do in your spare time? Chris: I love to play games on my PlayStation, go shopping...and I love to rollerblade in Central Park. Jesse: I love to play baseball! I'm a pitcher on the JV team at my high school. Matt: I love to play sports and hang out with my friends. Greg: I love sports- I like to play basketball and soccer. I like to talk to my friends on the phone, hang out, go to the movies. What kind of music do you listen to? Frankie: I'll listen to anything! I don't really listen to CDs all that much. Ill put on Z100 or KTU, something like that. I love the diversity. Greg: I love rock- Limp Bizkit and Dave Matthews Band. I like a lot of people. I like all kinds of music. Being a performer, I can really appreciate all types of music and I think it's better because you can learn from different types of music. I try to listen as much as I can. What's a song that you love? Frankie: I like J.Lo and Ja Rule's song "I'm Real" and also that all-star tribute song, "What's Going On." Matt: Sum 41's "Fat Lip". What's a TV show that you love? Chris: Friends! Matt: The Simpsons and Friends. And a movie that you love? Chris: I just saw The Others- that movie was like The Sixth Sense times 10. It was just an altogether awesome movie. Who would you like to collaborate with in the future? Chris: *N Sync would be awesome for real When I was growing up, I listen to New Kids on the Block because they were actually big when I was growing up. Right now I think *N Sync...their live performance, we look up to that. We try to make our live performance just as great. And Britney Spears. Most of all, just because she's beautiful. Jesse: Will Smith! He's my main man. I like Will Smith a lot. He seems like a cool person to work with. |
