Chapter 2

I thought I was being careful. I didn't even see that car coming. Before I knew it the car hit my door pushing it into a dich straight to a tree. I don't know where Nick is, I don't know where I am.

"Brian, sweetie, get up. It's time to get up now." Jackie said as Brian kind of seemed like he was waking.

"mmm...mom? W-Where am I?" Brian asked.

"You're at the hospital honey, you're gonna be ok now."

"I'm so tired, how is Nick? Is Kev here mom?"

Jackie wanted to cry, She didn't know how Nick was, but the other car accident that night was Howie, A.J. AND Kevin. Brian knew none of this.

"Mom?"

"Babyduck, Kevin also go in an accident last night, a little after yours. I don't know how Nick is."

Brian started to cry. He was hurt, more emotionally though.

As if on a wrong cue, Brian's doctor came in.

"Good morning Brian. How are you?"

"Sore."

"You should be. It's only been 26 hours since your accident. I'll let you sleep, then I'll come back and see how you are, OK?"

"Yeah, thanks," With that, Brian fell asleep.

"Oh my God, that's so horrible!" Brooke said. "I can't believe they were ALL in a car accident."

"What's wierder is that they were in 2 different cars," Jamie said.

Val just walked in after Jamie said that. She just got back from visiting them. She was looking over their charts.

"From the looks of this, it isn't good." she said cautiously.

"Will they be ok," Brook asked.

"Only time will tell Brook. Only time can tell."

"This is John Norris with a MTV news brief: At roughly 2:00 A.M., the Backstreet Boys were involved in 2 different car accidents. Now, 3 days later, we finally have some news.

1. It has been confirmed that Brian and Nick were involved in the first accident at almost exactly 1:56 A.M. and a little after 2:00 A.M. A.J., Howie and Kevin were in a different accident.

2. Sources say that 4 of the 5 guys are awake, but the last remains unknown.

"Turn this crap off." A.J. said.

He was tired of hearing everyone talk about them. He didn't even know how the other guys were, all he knew was '4 of the 5 guys are awake, but the last remains unknown.' His worst fear was that it was brian or Kevin. Both had offered to drive home, both needed each other.

"Hey A.J.," Howie said s he was wheeled into A.J.'s room by his nurse.

"Dude, What are you doing here? Are you ok?"

"Yeah, I think I'll be alright. I broke 4 separate ribs and I have a slight concussion, but I'm sure I'll be fine.

What about you?"

"I was luckier because I was in the backseat. I have a broken femur. I'm fine though."

"How are the other guys?"

"I don't know, you're the first I've seen this whole time."

"I was going to see Brian but his mom and dad were in there crying. He's on my floor."

"Do you know if he's awake?"

"I didn't see him, or hear him."

"Man, I want to know who's NOT awake! Which one is it, Bri, Nicky or Kev?"

"I don't know A.J., I don't know."

They both sat there in silence wondering which one of their friends wasn't yet awake.
