Chapter 7

Brian was sleeping when he heard a knock on his door. He opened his eyes expecting to see his physical therapist for their meeting, but instead he saw the back of the door and still heard the knocking at the door.

"Come in," he said before Jamie walked in looking shocked.

"Brian?" Jamie asked.

"Yeah, Jamie right?"

"Um... yeah. I've gotta talk with you."

"Shoot."

"Ok, I know this is gonna sound wierd, but I think I know who caused the accident?"
Brian looked in surprised, "Who?"

"Well, I know it seems unlikely, but it makes sense."

"Who?"

"Um.... *Nsync... before you jump to conclusion on my conclusion, it makes perfect sense."

"I know what you're thinking Jamie, but Lance is my cousin and Chris is Howies friend."

"What about the rest. I don't think the others had anything to do with it."

"You have no proof of it either, but I can't hear this now, my physical therapist will be here any minute."

"Ok. Sorry about mentioning it."

"No, it's ok. I'll think about what you said."

Just as she heard that Brooke decided to leave. She figured Jamie would be coming out soon. As she started to pass through the halls something caught her ear.

"Justin," Chris said, "If you want to leave you and Joey and J.C. can, but I know that me and Lance aregonna stay here for a while."

"I wanna stay," Joey spoke up.

"Me too," J.C. added.

"Well, guys... um..." Justin tried to get out, "I should probably go then."

"We have no problem with that," Lance said very disapointed.

Brooke couldn't believe what she was hearing, Justin wasn't even going to stay. Although Justin didn't HAVE to stay, neither did the other two. It just seemed to fit everything Jamie said. Brooke ran as fast as she could back to the station to tell Val.

"VAL, oh my God you have to hear this!" Brooke screamed running into the station.

Val ran in the room paniced along with Alex, their supervior and on a more personal note he's Jamie's stepdad.

"What Brooke? What's wrong?" Val asked.

"Oh, well, it's nothing too important, so Alex doesn't have to be here."

"I thought something was wrong. Be more careful next time." Alex scolded as he left.

"Anyway," Brooke said going back to her hyper self, "remember how I went to Brian's room with Jamie. Well, Jamie found out that *Nsync did it to the Backstreet Boys! Then, I was walking down the hall and I over heard one of *Nsync saying that Justin, Joey and J.C. should go. Joey and J.C. said they want to stay, but Justin got nervous and said he has to go!"

"Brooke I can honestly care less."

"Well, Val, what are we going to do?"

"Nothing, we can't do anything."

"I'm going to try to do something!" And Brooke stormed out to do exactly that.
