Everyone seemed to enjoy the pizza and bowling at the last meeting.  It was so nice of the Papa Gino's manager to give us our own space, they really went out of their way for us.

Happy Spring Everyone! We survived the New England Winter!!! This winter seemed to go on forever! In fact, it may not be over yet, but at least we know that the warm weather is close. We have some great meetings coming up the next few months that we are sure you will enjoy.

Everyone likes to be thanked for his or her efforts.  I will really make a difference in your relationship with your Host Family, if you remember to say "thank you" for all those things - little and big- that they do for you.  If you prefer, send a little card with a list of things that you especially enjoy about them.  This will be treasured for many years.  don't wait until the end of your year to let them know how much you care - make a point to let them know often!

Earth Day Check out the Earth Day Celebrations by clicking on the link - some communities will have their own Earth Day Celebrations in March and April.  Get involved and volunteer to help out if you can. " The Earth will continue to regenerate its life sources only as long as we and all the peoples of the world do our part to conserve its natural resources.  It is a responsibility which every human being shares.  Through voluntary action, each of us can join in building a productive land in harmony with nature" President Gerald Ford Proclaiming March 21st as Earth Day

Make sure that you sign up for Spring classes early.  You will need to have 6 credits (60 classroom hours) to complete the education piece of the program.  You will not receive your end-of-year-bonus if  you have not got the certificates to prove that you took the classes.  There are lots of courses to take, so call your coordinator if you are having trouble finding something you will enjoy!
