This site is dedicated to showing sides of me that people didn't know I had - academic, social, and cultural. I am going to be a 4th year medical student at the University of California at Irvine College of Medicine. I am interested in pursing a career in surgery, possibly becoming a transplant, vascular, or cardiothoracic surgeon. Right now I am researching the efficacy of various treatment modalities for hepatocellular carcinoma. See my CV and Personal Statement links on the left. I am also a passionate for qualified Filipino-Americans interested in pursuing a career in medicine, and a proud Founding Brother of Chi Rho Omicron at the University of California at Davis.
Although I want to become a surgeon, I have always thought of myself as a Renaissance Man. I love the fine arts: written, dramatic, and musical. If this whole medical school thing doesn't work out, maybe I can pursue my dream to become an entertainer. I could be the next American Idol!
I hail from Northern California, but being in medical school has shifted much of my support network to Southern California. My family, fraternity brothers, and friends have been my strongest supports during my transition.
