| Chapter 5:Beautiful Eyes About a week later,Caity had come back to her home remembering almost everything .She had apologized to Lana about what she had done and Lana said that it was okay.Then Frankie and Chris came over one day. "Lana..............there is something you need to know.",Frankie said to her as she braided Caity's hair.She nodded at Frankie and continued to braid.Chris had sat there looking on and wondering how she did that (braiding).Frankie cupped his hands and then rocked back and forth.He had been doing that for about a minute and then Lana spoke up. "Well?What is it I need to know?",Lana said.Then she whispered something in Caity's ear and then Caity went off.Frankie looked up at Lana and saw her face all happy and cheery. "Do you remember what Erika had said to you and Officer Dorian on where she saw Caity last?When Caity was lost......................",Frankie said.Lana nodded and Chris turned to look at Frankie. "Yeah.....well........I had seen an old friend of mine,Tyler Cox." "Ooooo!You know Tyler Cox!I know him!What about him?" "Uh.........I had seen him on the train and we greet each other.Then I had seen Erika.Erika was looking at Tyler and then she said.She said..........that Tyler was the tall man she last saw Caity with.",Frankie finished and let out a big sigh of relief. "Um.........ok.....can you hold on a minute.Caity!!!!!!!!!!!!Come down here right now!",Lana yelled and she looked nervous.When Caity came down the stairs,Lana had asked to her a question. "Caity.........................what were you doing with Tyler Cox?",Lana asked hoping the answer wasn't what she thought it was. "Tyler had come through my window and grabbed me.Then he smashed everything in my room when you were in the shower.When you came out,you went straight to your room and laid down.I thought you were sleeping......and so did he.That's when he smashed one more vase.Then he heard you talking to someone and that's when he took a little broken piece of a vase and cut me right here.",Caity said as she showed her the place where he had cut her."and then he took me with him and put me in some truck.Then he started to hit me and punch me and kick me." Lana sat there and pushed away the thought of what he did to her. When he wasn't looking,I ran out of the truck and ran as fast as I could away from him.When I was farther away I turned a corner,then I bumped my head on a lamp post.",Caity said crying and laughing at the same time.Lana forced a laugh and looked at Frankie and Chris who was shocked.Lana looked at her and sighed and told her that was it and said that she could go now.Lana sighed and looked again at Frankie and Chris.Chris walked over to her and sat next to her.He put his arm around her as she felt anger come across her.She got up and walked towards the door. "I can't believe Tyler would do this.I am going to his house to tell him what he did and how it almost ruined my life.",Lana screamed a she opened the door.She had hit the door with her first and left a dent.She ran out and ran all the way to Tyler's house.Her anger building up with every step she took. Chris was still at the house with Frankie and stood by the door.He looked at the dent she had made and realized what she might do.He ran after her.Frankie was also looking at the dent and realized the same thing.He ran after Chris,hoping he wasn't too far. Chris was almost there when he saw Lana already punching him and slapping him.He ran up to her and grabbed her before she hit him more.She had started to pull away rom Chris.Chris held her tightly and didn't even think about letting go.Frankie had just gotten there and stood there. "How could you do that,Tyler!My family and I have gone through so much pain and then Caity told me what you did to her.What did she ever do to you?Huh,Tyler?What?Answer me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!",Lana screamed as Tyler clutched his stomach. "Ok!Ok!Ok!She didn't do anything......" "You are mentally ill!Hurting someone like that!" "I'm Sorry!" "You're sorry!You're Sorry!UGH!That's all you have to say after what you did!You shouldn't have done that in the first place!" "Look,Lana!Do you think it's fair that I suffer everyday,trying to live up to everyone's expectation's?Always trying to please everyone." "Well, no........but,that doesn't mean you have to take it out on MY little sister.Do you get what I mean?",Lana said frusterated and tried to pull away from Chris.Chris held on to her as she tried to kick away from him. "Lana,you're right.......and I am truly sorry.From the bottom of my heart." "You should be!Caity has so many bruises all over her helpless little body.I don't want her to go through what she had gone through when you touched her.You're lucky I am not sueing you!" "I know!Okay!Lana,can you forgive me?",he asked as she started to lighten up.Chris felt her tenseness lessen .He slowly let go of her.Lana just stood there looking into Tyler's eye's. "I could NEVER forgive you for what you have done.I am going now, bye, Tyler!" "I understand........I'll see you at school......" "Ha! You'll only see me at school.............you'll never be able to talk to me AGAIN!I've had enough,I'm leaving.",Lana screamed once more and tensed up.Chris grabbed her one more time.Frankie was still looking on.He had almost considered sitting down and grabbing a bowl of popcorn.He was mortified at what he had just thought and pushed the thought away.Lana was struggling again.Then Chris gave up and let go of her.She stood there looking at Tyler's eye's again.She started to turn around and walk away.Then she turned around again and looked at his eye's once more before speaking up. "Oh.........and Tyler!I never told you this but,you have beautiful eyes.I just can't take MY eyes off them!",Lana said sarcastically and laughed.She had mocked him with his own compliment.Tyler stood there with his mouth wide open as she walked away.She had grabbed Chris' hand and patted Frankie's back.They walked away and left Tyler confused and feeling dumb.Frankie stopped and looked back.Tyler looked at him.Frankie then mouthed the words,"Loser".Frankie laughed and ran to catch up with the Chris and Lana.When he saw them,he stopped and looked on.The sun was setting and everything was still.Chris and Lana were hugging each other.Then Lana pulled away and turned to Frankie. "Come on,Mr.Galasso!Aren't you coming?",Lana said in a fake english accent.He laughed and ran to them.They started to walk back to her house with now worries by them. |
