Observation |
Get enough flowers so that each child has one in the class. Give them a magnifying glass, paper, markers, and graphing paper. Have children study their flower with the magnifying glass. Have them draw what their flower looks like. Have them graph how many petels or leaves their flower has. |

Give children varying seeds, paper, and crayons. Have them draw what their seed looks (shapes) like and what color they are. |

Give children a cup of seeds and empty cups. Have childen sort seeds into empty cups. First by looking the same and then by size. After that have children put soil in their cups, have children put seeds in different cups and then mark the cup that it has. After seed starts growing have them chart which one grew first. Talk about how they look different and then have them draw them. |
