Graduate Research Assistance

Performed research development based on pollution prevention activities.

* Developed environmental assessment methodology for pollution prevention in chemical process designs by comparing the effects of chemicals in the environment.

* Wrote an application (EFRAT) based on the methodology using Visual Basic platform, which is capable of calculating emissions, estimating the chemical partitions, and calculate the environmental impacts.

* Utilized the application along with process simulator (HYSYS) to perform environmental impacts and economics optimization based on the life cycle assessment of the pollutants.
