My Dad....
You were everything to me, my dad was always there when I needed him,  You were always there to guide me with patience and a kind heart.
I remember the days of sliding down the hill in the back yard, after you spent hours every night shoveling the snow to make the hill and then spraying the hill with water. Then we would take the oven pans and each take turns climbing up the stairs and sliding down the hill, then off to work you would go after giving us a kiss goodnight.

And those weekends going to the beach, we would pack up a lunch and off to the beach we'd go.
I remember every Saturday  going to Karate class and then off to the market to buy fruit and vegetables, and sometimes we would stop at  the A&W for lunch but, I had to order because they could not understand you. Something about that French accent....I could never hear it, but I know my friends could never understand you.  I still go to the market but, it's not the same without you.

And then there was the Circus, we lived just down the street from the forum and the Circus would come to town. You would pay us 25 cents to take the wagon with two garbage pails in it, up to the Circus to get the Elephant pooooh ...it was great for the garden.
You would take me to the hockey games at the forum, at that age I was not that interested in the game but , I loved the hotdogs and just being there with you.

My dad was always there to give us a ride to school in the rain and the snow....we would try to see how many kids we could get in the V.W bug on the way to school.

I remember your face when Jason was born and you finally got to hold a newborn baby, they never let you hold us until we were home. You were sitting there holding my son with the proudest look on your face, it made me so happy to see. Then it was the ride home, you almost hit another car because you were looking at Jason and not the road.
Then there was my wedding, and you were so nervous that you  could not even tell the priest that you give me away, you just pushed me and your hands were shaking more than mine.

Christmas has never been the same without you but, my kids and hubby have made them special.

Our time together was limited,
I took for granted that you were just a phone call away,
until that horrid moment, that they took you away.

I love you always and forever, my Daddy you will always be
