| Well my second racing season with the Talon is almost over. I was without the car for most of the summer because of clutch/pedal assembly problems (and I'm lazy). BUT all that hard work and time paid off at the track last sunday (oct 07/01) As some of you know last season was a disapointment for me and I could only manage a 14.7@ 95mph. with these mods: 16g Slightly ported @ 14psi 96 Exhaust mani ported 2 1/4" UIC pipe Fuel pump rewire K&N c/w cut air can Some of you have asked me "why so slow with thses mods". I think the answer was fuel...or not enough of it. After 5000rpm's the car just fell on it's face. Now that I have the 255lph pump and a boared out fuel rail it pulls right to redline. (but I am now running too rich) My best time to date is now a 13.295 @ 105.84mph :0) on pump gas! Best mph is 106.66mph. This is with he exhaust removed at the 02 housing. 13.577 @ 102.98mph with the stock exhaust on the car. That's about a 30hp increase just by removing the exhaust. here's a scan of the slips Most of the mods I have done since last year are "free" look here to see the mod page.
